 | Any experiences here with Brooks Institue of Photography... |

This is somewhat related to screenplays since this school has a motion
picture program... They are located in Santa Barbara and Ventura and they have a motion picture
program. They offer a 3 year bachelor's degree. I was wondering if anyone
has had any experiences with these people and whether or not they are
reputable and accredited. If one earns a bachelor's there, can they transfer
that to say UCLA for a master's? BTW, they are at www.brooks.edu if anyone wants to visit their site.

http://filmmaker.com/reviews-sortby-B.html -The major MFA programs like UCLA, USC, and NYU generally prefer students
with a liberal arts bachelor's degree--they're generally not as
interested in people who went to pre-professional schools for undergrad. (At USC they even claim to prefer people who's undergrad degree isn't in
film). In any event, if you have a bachelor's degree, you're not
"transferring" to a school like UCLA--you're applying to the graduate
program. If you're in high school, and interested in eventually getting a
graduate degree in film from one of the major film schools, the
conventional wisdom is that your best bet is to get a liberal arts
degree from the best school you can get into.
