This item works perfectly, if you have a Wii & Xbox360 - Buy 5 by .. G. Rozanski (Delaware)
I just bought this item so that I could hook up our Wii and Xbox360 to the back of an older TV without having to switch wires around. My 14 year old crawled behind the TV and hooked most of it up by himself with a little help from me(its that simple). Within minutes we were playing again and actually the picture even looked a little better then before we connected it. The device automatically detected which console was connected and the sound and picture were perfect.

I am so glad I was not deterred by another review that is listed for this project but was actually for something else with a different name (which doesnt make any sense at all). This was exactly what I needed and it was the right price. If you need something like this...Buy It with confidence.

reliable and works as advertised 5 by .. Gordon D. Gipson ()
I have tried the Radio Shack version of this and had multiple problems. This works great and is the best I have used.

Excellent Product - Read Instructions Manual Before Buying 5 by .. Wayne ()
Recently purchased this product and it works perfect so far. I really can't comment on the durability until it fails but so far 1 week running and it's doing it's job.

I would suggest everyone to read the manual before purchasing this product. You can find the manual and detail specs at their web site.

This box does not allow you to mix and match different input signals. Example: using composite with a mixture of s-video does not work. You have to use all composite or all s-video. It would be nice if it could do the mix and matching but in my case the majority of my devices have composite outputs on them and the box works perfectly in my situation.

I've not had any signal over lap or video quality loss. The automatic switch over function works correctly and changing between manual and auto does what it's suppose to do.

I've heard folks saying some of the boxes, not particular to this product alone will jump the device selection at times but so far I've been using it for a week and i've never had that happen to me with this model. I did however have a bad signal on selection number 4 and it confused me for quite awhile until I realized that the composite cable I had was one of those cheap cables normally included with your dvd player. For some reason, the cable end was either carrying an electrical current or grounding somewhere, I don't know exactly what was the problem with the cable!!

Anyway, I purchased a new gold tipped composite cable and installed it and the problem went away. The old cable that came with the dvd player was used on a different tv and it didn't show any problems but when used back on the altoona box the problem appeared, cutting things short, I threw the old cable in the garbage.

I would suggest double checking your cable ends to be sure. Sometimes a defective cable end can have you pulling your hair out for hours and blaming the manufactures for such a small oversight.

Output --> TV
Input 1 -> Cable Box
Input 2 -> DVD Player
Input 3 -> Western Digital TV Live Plus Media Player
Input 4 -> Nintendo

Havn't seen any problems as yet with this setup! As to the durability, I'll comment when it actually fails. Everything is connected to a surge protector.

If you read the reviews and the online manual you can't find out whether or not the box will multiplex signals into a common output.

For example my TV has component in but no composite in, I was hoping that the box would take the composite device (an old xbox) and put the signal on the component line. It doesn't.
