Works perfectly for me... 5 by .. Jeff Kraus (Orlando, FL USA)
I purchased this box a couple of weeks ago, because I only have one HDMI port on my TV, and I haven't plunked down the cash to upgrade my home theater receiver to one that has HDMI support yet.

So this seemed to be the perfect "mean-time" solution for me. I have my (BrightHouse) Explorer 8300 HD cable box/DVR connected, as well as my Playstation 3. No use for the 3rd port yet (that's in the works).

Since I use my Yamaha receiver remote to switch between components, that's the one that I used for this switch. I took the included external IR receiver cord and threaded it up to the rack my receiver is on, and placed the sensor right next to the receiver sensor. Now when I switch between the DVR and PS3 on my receiver, the HDMI switch automatically switches to the correct port.

Very nice. This will do perfectly until I decide to buy my next receiver.

Antoher Great Monster Product 5 by .. Rodrigo Yanez ()
Another Great Monster Cable Product easy to set up.
The documentation has been updated to make it easier to set up.
Here is all you have to do to set it up connect your Sat or cable Box's HDMI to HDMI 1 Make sure your Sat or Cable box is off on the Switch press the learn button then press Input 1 and on your Universal Remote select what you want to power up and you are all set.

Product good, documentation bad 4 by .. R. Allen (Minneapolis, MN USA)
This device allows you to use up to three devices with HDMI outputs on a TV with just one HDMI input. It is an excellent product once you learn how to use it. There is a secret you need to get it to work though--you can't just manually switch between devices: you must use the "learn" function on the switcher with ANY remote and do that for all three inputs. (Even if you are only using two inputs.)

If you don't the device will switch between, say, your PS3 and satellite box without warning. It did that with me several times right as I was trying to do gnarly maneuvers in Grand Theft Auto IV.

Once I called customer service (it's not in FAQ on their website), and was provided that information, the device works flawlessly.

If Monster would take the time to do the manual properly or at least put the info you need to eliminate an aggravating problem on its website, this would be an excellent product.

One of the best 4 by .. Eric G. Vega (NE Ohio)
The item works well but does not work with my Time Warner HD digital cable box. It does support my Xbox360 and Samsung Bluray player. Luckily I have installed a two slot HDMI outlet and can run my digital cable box seperately from the monster switch. Even though there were some issues with the digital cable box, this is one of the best ones ive used so far.

Keep away from Electronics Expo 1 by .. M. Ramirez ()
This is a very bad product, I have bought 4 of them 2 with Electronics Expo here at amazon, and another two at best buy.

All of them have presented the following with time: the keep switching back to input 2 by themselves no matter what, weird for a monster product.

The ones I got on Best buy were replaced with no hassle for different products, however I've sent a lot of e-mails to Electronics Expo with no response, so watch out!!! Want to save trouble keep away from these product but most of all keep away from Electronics Expo.
