 | Seeking photography class on Oahu |

I'd like to learn how to properly compose and take pictures. I guess I
could buy a book but knowing me, it'll just sit and gather dust. I'm thinking
a hands-on class would better suit me. Does anyone have suggestions on reasonably priced photography
classes/workshops on Oahu? I'm a complete newbie, not familiar with any
photo terminology (f-stop, exposure, etc). Right now, I use a 4.0M Canon S45 digital to point-and-shoot. I'd like
to get a Canon Digital Rebel (EOS 300D) if I had the skills. I have an old
Canon T70 SLR that I can use for regular 35mm shots... just need to
dust it off and make sure it's functioning ok.

-Get a Summer schedule from UH Manoa, HCC, or LCC, they have lots of
options. -While you're waiting to get into class, I would strongly suggest that you
have a look at the Time-Life Photography series of books at a public
library, especially the volume on the camera. Full of all the technical
information you'll need and the images are awe inspiring. -I took photography with Mark Hamasaki at Windward Community College.
What's nice is the lab is open late on Saturday - or at least it was
when I was taking classes - so you can shoot during the day and print
until 9 or 10 at night. They only had b/w classes when I was there so
don't know if they have color since the new building was built. I
know UH-Manoa and HCC also have classes. Just call all the UH junior
college campuses and see which one is the most convenient and has the
best facilities for what you're looking for.
