I'm looking for some good photography classes given in or near Chicago. I
would like a little more than is offered at the community college. I'm
familiar with what's covered in most "beginner" courses and would like to
expand on that knowledge. I'd like someone to teach me darkroom skills,
lighting, and advanced composition. I would also like to cover all aspects
such as portraiture, product photography, interiors, landscapes, sports,
etc. So many beginner classes really only teach you to make better
"snapshot" type pictures. It would also be nice if this course involved
equipment selection and purchasing, as I have absolutely no clue when it
comes to professional type lighting, light meters, etc. It would also be
nice to find a course that "bridged" from 35mm to medium format. Any
suggestions are appreciated.

Start with best: Columbia College in downtown Chi-town is staffed by
excellent photogs and turns-out fine pros. See if they have courses
to fit your sked.
